The citizens of Nazareth, having witnessed Jesus grow up among them, and having thus become all too familiar with His humanity, stumbled over His claim to divinity and consequent claim on their lives.

2.The curse of over-familiarity
a.All spoke well of Him and marveled at His gracious words
b.Is not this Joseph’s son?

3.God’s heart to love and save us all
a.Elijah and the widow; Elisha and the Syrian commander
b.We find great difficulty accepting God’s claim on our lives
