Concordia reaches out to Families-in-need through our distribution of food baskets at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.  Concordia participates in the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) program which provides shelter, meals, and support for families without homes.

Concordia reaches out to the Community by partnering with Kingsport area churches in a cooperative ministry called Kingsport Community Ministry Center (KCMC) to help people in crisis to meet their basic physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. (KCMC interviewers listen compassionately to its clients; help provide financial assistance for such basic living expenses as rent, utilities, medicines, and food; and help identify other ministries and agencies, which can assist clients.)

Concordia reaches out to the World through various mission programs–providing financial support for college campus missions in the United States, for seminarians, and for foreign missions.  Concordia participates in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) mite collections, which provide mission grants for global mission projects.  Concordia fills shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, which helps bring hope to disadvantaged children worldwide.
