A Fearless Confession in a Troubled World

You’ve likely heard of the “fight or flight” response to problem solving. . . and most of us have experienced the response, despite our efforts to overcome it! That instinct can spill into our spiritual lives, too, as we are tempted to let fear take control when presented with the opportunity to share or defend our faith. In our text from Matthew, chapter 10, Jesus speaks of this as he describes situations the disciples would face. “So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.” (Matthew 10:26). That message is for us, too. Today. 

How can we confess Christ? Because we belong to Him. We open our hearts to trust Him as we step out. God is with us. The Holy Spirit is within us. God’s truth should go out through our witness. We can live and speak in confidence in our Father’s care.
