By Grace We Are His Treasured Possession

Sometimes a precious item is treasured, not because of its monetary value, but because of what it means to us. In Deuteronomy 7, Moses helps us understand that God values his people in a similar way . . . as “His treasured possession,” even though they weren’t the best or the strongest. They were treasured because of God’s love for them. They were “Holy unto the Lord.” By grace, God called Abraham from His people to bless ALL nations. Chosen? Yes, to be separate by modeling holiness and righteousness. Chosen? Yes, based on His grace, mercy, and love. And now, in this time, the Grace and Love continue. We are His, by grace; We are secure because God is faithful in his promises. By grace, we are God’s treasure.
