Jesus Walks With You

Some journeys in our lives are long roads, filled with things we can't understand. Such is the case with the two disciples in our Gospel lesson, Cleopas and an unnamed companion. They are walking to Emmaus, talking about all that had happened. Then, Jesus "drew near and went with them." They didn't recognize Him, but He walked with them. "And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself." (Luke 24:27) When He broke bread with them, their eyes were opened and they recognized Him and understood. It's happening today, too. Jesus walks right beside us. Jesus walks with you to: Teach you, to change you, and to send you. We invite all weary travelers to walk along. Listen. . .
