Fourth Sunday in Easter 2021

Living by trust in the Name of Jesus Christ and by love for each other we
gladly follow our Good Shepherd through the hills and valleys of this
transitory life certain of His deep and abiding presence.

1. We follow our Shepherd trusting in the Name of Jesus Christ
a) Childlike trust and confidence freely given by God’s Spirit
b) Why? “there is no other name under heaven given among men by
which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

2. We follow our Shepherd living in love for one another
a) In the way of our Savior, Servant and Sacrifice
b) With open eyes, hearts and hands

3. We follow our Shepherd secure in His presence
a) The promise of God’s presence in and with His people
b) By the Holy Spirit whom He has given us we are sure
