Third Sunday in Lent

The witness of one woman who could not help but speak of the things she had seen and heard drew her whole city to meet Jesus, hear for themselves the truth spoken in love and come to saving faith in Him who came to rescue us all. 

1. Powerful testimony of a woman whose life was changed

a. He knew all about me and still wanted me to realize the truth 

b. He offered me a thirst-quenching water that set me free 

2. Powerful testimony of the Son of God who seeks and finds the lost

a. Jesus stays with the Samaritans for two days 

b. God’s Word is living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword 

3. Powerful testimony of those who are no longer in darkness/death

a. We have heard for ourselves firsthand 

b. We know that this One is truly the Savior of the world.
