First Sunday of Christmas 2021

By trusting in the blood of the Passover Lamb, we will not be slain like those in the kingdom of hard-hearted Pharaoh but set apart and purchased as a precious first-born son, belonging to God.

1.Sanctified, set apart in Christ Jesus
a.Like Aaron, Jesus is set apart as our great High Priest.
b.We are set apart as a holy nation, a royal priesthood

2. The perilous fight against God
a.Pharaoh feared what he could not control, thus infanticide
b.Hard-hearted Pharaoh brought down the 10 plagues

3.Redeemed, purchased as a precious first-born son
a.Jesus, the faithful witness, first-born from the dead
b.Church of the first-born who are registered in heaven
